Frequently Asked Questions

"Why didn't my show get added to the app?"

Remember that shows need to be requested by Monday of the week of the show (a week in advance is preferred, the earlier the better!). If you request too late, we cannot get the show added to the app on time.


"How come this show doesn't list the group order and times?"

Some show superintendents do not publish their group order/time/rings in advance. If they don't we cannot add it to the app...sorry! Ask your superintendents to put that information in the judging program so we all can plan in advance!


"How come my schedule wasn't saved?"

Make sure you are LOGGED IN when you create a schedule, and then make sure you are logged in when you go to bring up your schedule to look at it. Most phones keep you logged in until you log out, but if you restart your phone, or stop and restart the app, you will have to log in again.

Also - if you have not paid a subscription/donation and you are past your 30-day free trial peiod, your schedule will not be saved.


"I signed up for the app, but haven't received my user name or download information yet."

We enter new users manually, and generally they are entered once a week on Mondays or Tuesdays. If more than a week goes by and you haven't received your information, try registering again. Make sure your e-mail is spelled correctly! If you do not provide a valid e-mail address, you will not receive your user name and download instructions.


"Are these ring times exact?"

Nothing in dog shows is exact! We estimate ring times based on the number of dogs in each breed in the ring. The actual ring time (when the ring starts) is listed, along with the breeds and their numbers and estimated times before yours. Use these times as a guideline. We cannot schedule for things such as large numbers of dogs absent, an extra slow judge, or a mishap in the ring that delays the show.


"How do I remove a breed from my schedule?"

Just click on (touch) the breed in your schedule and it will remove it.


"What do I do if I get a new phone?"

Your login stays the same no matter what device you use. If you get a new Android phone, simply go to www.dogshowapp.com and click the download link to download the app to your new phone. If you get a new Iphone, bookmark the webpage www.dogshowapp.com/webapp and use your usual login to set up your schedules. You can use your login on any device. For instance, you can create your schedule on your phone, and bring it up on your tablet or PC on the web browser. Pretty simple!


"I paid, but I still cannot save my schedule."

It can take up to 3 days for your payment to be logged in to our system. Also - if you are paying via your Paypal account that is under a different name or e-mail than what you use on the Dog Show App, the system will not be able to find you. Always write your app user name on the comments section of the PayPal payment page so we can credit your account.
